Barry Miller's brother, Trevor is the undisputed king of Caloundra. Also from the bush in Queensland, Trevor won hundreds of races in the west before settling at the Sunshine Coast in 1986. Trevor is estimated to have won at least 700 races at Caloundra. He rarely has an expensive horse in his stable but has had a string of big race winners. He also trained Gallant Ruler who won 24 races at Caloundra which is a record for a Queensland TAB track. Trevor is noted for his
sense of humour and once wished the Stradbroke or Doomben 10,000 could be run at Caloundra so he could run Gallant Ruler in them.
His best wins include the QTC Cup (Heavenly Knight), Caloundra Cup (King Latarmiss), QTC Lightning (Heavenly Knight), GCTC Ansett Stakes (Heavenly Knight), Summer Stakes (Baal Yabba), Exhibition Handicap (Waterford Road), Silk Stocking (Gilded Queen), Sir Tristram Handicap (Whale of a Knight), Christmas Handicap (Seek Glory), Winter Series Final (Nifty), Contere Stakes (Booronga) and QBBS Stakes (Whale of a Knight).
