If ever there was an example of a jockey just needing a chance it was Scott Seamer. He always had enormous talent but struggled to get class rides. However, in a golden period in the early 2000s he became Australia's form Group 1 jockey winning the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup, Golden Slipper and AJC Derby. He also rode with great success in New Zealand and won the Brisbane jockeys' premiership.
His best wins include the Melbourne Cup (Ethereal), Caulfield Cup (Ethereal), Golden Slipper (Calaway Gal), AJC Derby (Clangalang), Epsom (Desert War) Salinger Stakes (Ancient Song), Mackinnon Stakes (La Belle A Dama), Orr Stakes (Baraka), Australian Guineas (Dash For Cash), BMW Stakes (Ethereal), BTC Cup (Gee I Jane), QTC Oaks (Ethereal), QTC Derby (Half Henessey), T.J. Smith Classic (Darci Brahma, Picaday), Magic Millions (Lovely Jubly), Grand Prix (Half Henessey), Doomben Roses (Ethereal), QTC Guineas (Saxon), New Zealand Oaks (Vapour Trail), Dane Ripper Stakes (China Amber), Lord Mayor's Cup (Tickle), Doomben Classic (Enforced, Saxon), Birthday Card Stakes (Paraca), AJC Liverpool Cup (Sam Sung A Song), Carlton Cup (Piper Star), NJC Spring Stakes (Clangalang), MVRC McEwan Trophy (Strategic Image), Up and Coming Stakes (Snitzel), QTC Cup (Into The Night), BTC Champagne Stakes (Chenar, Golden Fox), Tulloch Stakes (Prince of War), Kewney Stakes (Elegant Fashion), Tristarc Stakes (Infinite Grace), Schillachi Stakes (Segments), Queen of the Turf Stakes (Ugachaka), QTC Oaks (Riva San), Golden Stakes (Sir Success, Golden Fox), QTC Easter Cup (Eagle Charge), Queensland Cup (Kerdem), Exhibition Handicap (Amex), Glenlogan Stakes (Suzy Grey), Toowoomba Cup (Director's Special), Bribie Handicap (City Fair, Mr Newmarket), Sir Edward Williams Stakes (Brighter Scene), Eye Liner Stakes (Suzy Grey) and Prime Minister's Cup (Helideck).
