The Kruger brothers ran the famous Lyndhurst Stud which they saved from the brink in the late 1950s. They stood a string of top class sires such as Smokey Eyes, Tudor Monarch, Lysander 11, Grey Seas, and Grand Chaudiere. But together or as individuals they owned hundreds of horses many who were top class. The best was undoubtedly the AJC Champagne Stakes winner Eye Liner but they had many other feature race winners including Eye Shadow, Bright Shadow, Ima Shadow, Meanmi Shadow, Misty Shadow, English Statesman, Nice Surprise and So Nice.
