Mim and Ian Hedley

The Hedley's famous cerise and white colours were carried to victory in hundreds of race wins. The pair ran a stud near Beaudesert and many of their winners were second and third generation from the stud. Their best horse was Cachondeo who won a Brisbane Cup and also started in Melbourne Cup. His half brother Montezuma held the Albion Park 5 1/2 furlong record for many years, while Justincase, Machete and Desert Beau were among many other smart horses they owned.
