Jim Byrne

A product of the famous Pat Duff apprentice production line, Jim Byrne had his share of run-ins with stewards as an apprentice. But he matured into an international class jockey who won three Brisbane premierships.

A devoted family man, Byrne, after a stint in Asia, maintained most of his career in Brisbane.
