Glen Boss is a highly talented jockey who was as well known for his run-ins with stewards as his winners as a young jockey. But with age Glen matured into one of the best jockeys Australia has seen. The turning point came when he moved to Sydney in 1995 and won the Golden Slipper on Flying Spur. 
At the end of 2009 he had ridden a total of 66 Group 1 winners. Boss also rode with success in Hong Kong and battled back from a severe neck injury sustained in a fall. In 2008 he relocated to Melbourne where he continued to ride Group 1 winners. His best wins include:
