Albert Sakzewski

Sir Albert Sakzewski was the founding chairman and government nominee of the Totalisator Administration Board of Queensland and bred and raced many successful horses over a fifty year period.

Sir Edward Williams

A lifelong horse-racing enthusiast, Sir Edward Williams was an active supporter of the Queensland Turf Club for over 46 years. He served as Chairman of the Committee for 11 years and to honour his long service, the Queensland Turf Club instituted the Sir Edward Williams Handicap which had its inaugural running in 1996.
