The son of former top Sydney trainer Ray Guy, Bryan Guy took on training in his own right in 1992. He was an instant success winning the 1994 Stradbroke with All Our Mob and the 1995 T.J. Smith Classic with Ravarda.
In just under 20 years it is estimated he trained 1000 winners averaging around 60 a year. He moved to the Gold Coast in the late 1990s and maintained a tremendous strike rate winning the Brisbane premiership in 2006/07. Guy is renowned for placing his horses well all over the south-east corner of the state. Guy was also the master of star apprentice Michael Rodd.
His best wins include the Stradbroke Handicap (All Our Mob), T.J.
