Tough stayer who cut his teeth in western Queensland winning at tracks such as Mitchell, Chinchilla, Roma, St George and Dalby. After winning the St George Cup he was tried in the city where he proved a very good stayer. He won 10 open company races including the 1974 Queensland Cup, 1975 Prime Ministers Cup, Sir Winston Churchill Stakes and Gregory Terrace Stakes.
