Smart grey sprinter who lived in the shadow of his stablemate Prunda. But he still won some good races including the ITC Eye Liner Stakes and QTC Lilley Handicap. He dead heated with Prunda in an Ipswich Highweight on 1968 Cup day. Many who backed Prunda claimed because it was the last race and close to dark, Sweepstakes had an unfair advantage being grey. It may sound silly but it was an argument among punters for 20 years afterwards!
