Strawberry Road was a brilliant stayer who recorded one of the easiest wins on record in the 1983 AJC Derby. After his Cox Plate win (see photo below) he went to race in Europe and the USA where he won another five races. He was later a top sire in America. In Australia, Strawberry Road was trained by Doug Bougoure.
