Doug Bougoure trained the mighty galloper Strawberry Road but also one of his favourite horses remains Sefiona on whom, as a jockey, he won the Brisbane Handicap, Tattersall’s President’s Handicap and Toowoomba Cup. Sefiona also won the QTC Guineas, QTC Derby, QTC St Leger treble in 1947 as well as being a good two-year-old who won four races.
