Went from winning a Gold Coast maiden to taking a race at Randwick and then scoring in the 1992 Ascot Vale Stakes at Flemington when at 16-1. It was a mighty win seeming he missed the start. Quegent was later struck down by the Hendra Virus which killed his trainer Vic Rail but Quegent was saved.
