Raced 1960s
He was one of four stallions bought to race in Queensland by the Presnell family who had a major impact on Australian breeding. All four - Osmunda, Kaoru Star, Maybe Lad, and Scotian - went on to sire Group 1 winners. Osmunda was the most expensive yearling bought to race in Queensland and like his stablemate Kaoru Star was by champion sire Star Kingdom. Osmunda was no superstar on the track but did win three open company races including a QTC Ascot Handicap in the late 19060s. The best of his racehorses was Black Shoes who won a VATC Blue Diamond.
