One of Queensland’s great sprinters who won the 1967 Stradbroke as well as the VRC Lightning, QTC Lighting (twice), VATC Hawsburn Handicap, and the Cumberland Cup. For several seasons he kept the Queensland flag flying in the south racing against the best sprinters. His Stradbroke win was one for the record books. He was an emergency for the race but got a start when Just Quietly was scratched. However, the meeting was washed out and transferred to the following Thursday and Just Quietly was reinstated into the field. Luckily Mr Hush got a start and with Lyle Rowe riding an inspired race he bolted in.
