Raced 1960s
The undisputed "bush champ" of southern Queensland in the 1960s he ran one second from two starts at two years. He went on to have 176 starts racing until he was 13 years. As well as his 76 wins he ran 61 placings. He won races at Dalby, Gympie, Oakey, Esk, Ipswich, Kilcoy, Jandowae, Burrandowan, Gayndah, Nanango, Bell, Chinchilla, Laidley, Toowoomba and Kumbia during his career. He was tried "in town" on several occasions but failed to win. Trainer Pat Duff had him in Brisbane for a while and said Mick’s Luck was hampered by big weights in trying to record a city win.
