Raced 2000s
Raced and bred by a group of friends including by Local Government Association guru Greg Hallam and former QTC secretary David Laing, La Montagna won more than $1million in prizemoney. She won the Tommy Smith Slipper as a two-year-old but by far her best effort was winning the 2006 Stradbroke as a three-year-old. She had several attempts to return to racing but injury finally saw her retired where she was sold to billionaire owner Nathan Tinkler as a broodmare.
