The last of the top sire Semipalatinsk’s good horses he contested Australia’s best staying races after taking the 2006 QTC Grand Prix Stakes and Group 1 Queensland Derby double. He loved Eagle Farm where he won seven races also including the Tattersall’s and Queen’s Cups. Ice Chariot certainly threw to his sire, who had a string of good stayers, as his dam Snow Chariot was purely a sprinter. Owned by the same connections as champion mare Gold Edition he was sometimes overshadowed by her deeds but he deserves to be remembered as a very good horse.
