Raced 1940s
Owned by Terry Ahern, the chairman of the BATC, High Rank would rate among the best sprinters in Brisbane as well as being a top-class creeker. He raced in the late 1930s and early 1940s which meant much of his racing was at Albion Park. He won twice in Sydney and then moved to Brisbane where at four years he won the Toowoomba Cup (9F), Stradbroke Handicap (6F), and Doomben Newmarket, now the 10,000 (6F), as well as four other open company sprints. He won the feature Nundah Plate at Eagle Farm before the grass tracks were closed and racing switched to the Albion Park sand. He went on to win 11 races at Albion Park including the Albion 2000 and the Winter Stakes.
