Holds the record for the most wins at Caloundra and his 24 victories is believed to be the record for any track in Queensland. Gallant Ruler won 14 open company races at Caloundra. He did win two races at Doomben but often got beaten in easier races in town. Trainer Trevor Miller once joked he wished the Stradbroke or Doomben 10,000 was run at Caloundra.
