How to get to race track: Heading south through Warwick, cross river bridge, turn 2nd right into Victoria St and head west 1.5km. The racecourse is across the river on the left.Public transport is not available. The local taxi service is Warwick Cab Co ph 131008. 
How to get to town: Located on the Cunningham Highway 170km west south west of Brisbane, or 60km south of Toowoomba. 
History: Warwich Turf Club was one of first race clubs in Queensland. It was created by a special Act of Parliament circa 1858, which granted land for “racing or coursing” in Deagon and Warwick. The first Warwick Cup was held in 1859, 2 years earlier than the first Melbourne Cup.
