| History: | Warwich Turf Club was one of first race clubs in Queensland. It was created by a special Act of Parliament circa 1858, which granted land for “racing or coursing” in Deagon and Warwick. The first Warwick Cup was held in 1859, 2 years earlier than the first Melbourne Cup. |
