| History: | The Sunshine Coast Turf Club (Corbould Park Racecourse) commenced thoroughbred racing at the Corbould Park Racecourse on 25 July 1985. The Sunshine Coast Turf Club represents a $12 million outlay, and was the first major Queensland Racecourse built outside of the Brisbane metropolitan area for over 50 years - 8 minutes from Caloundra and 50 minutes from Brisbane - it is regarded as one of Australia’s leading provincial racing facilities, and is located in one of the fastest growing areas of Australia and one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations. |
