| History: | The first organised Race Meeting conducted in the district was held at Nanango Station on Boxing Day, 1859. Between 1859 and 1862 racing was transferred from Nanango Station (now owned by the Caffery family) to and area known as “Steamer Lagoon”. So named because of the mist that is now part of Mr & Mrs Pat Langans farm. |
